Libyan-born Farah El Neihum – also known as Farah Elle, began composing music at the age of 10. Teaching herself to play the piano and writing poetry to coincide with it in her teenage years, led her on to study Modern Music at BIMM Dublin University – acquiring a degree in Songwriting and later qualifying in various forms of holistic healing methods in order to explore music as a means of self-expression and personal development

In 2022, Farah Elle released her debut album FATIMA, named after her mother -marking the culmination of a near decade of work. Weaving traditional Arabic

melodies into the tapestry of her music, Farah’s compositions meld her combined North African and Irish heritage to create a sound that is thoroughly contemporary and completely her own. Currently, Farah’s approach to songwriting is ever- changing, keeping in flow with the nature of life. Farah continues to create music, collaborating with musicians of all creeds, performing concerts both nationwide and

internationally – and has recently taken to hosting podcasts on the side, as a way to share the knowledge she has picked up on her path as an Artist who loves

facilitating music & wellness workshops to people of all ages and backgrounds

Beyond music, Farah is deeply committed to holistic healing. She incorporates various wellness practices into her music & wellness workshops, where participants explore vocal health, breathing techniques, CAPACITAR Trauma Healing Methods, and Logosynthesis-a psychotherapy method based on healing through words. These sessions provide a space for self-expression, emotional release, and creative flow, helping individuals reconnect with their inner voice through sound and movement

Last year as part of the Creative Places Enniscorthy Open Call, Farah led a series of music and wellness workshops at The Hope Cancer Support Centre Enniscorthy, blending movement, breathwork, and singing. She concluded with a special session for the centre’s staff, offering them a space to unwind through music

Brendan Carthy is owner of The Orchard Recording Studio, Enniscorthy since 2011. He is also a session drummer who has worked with artists such as Hozier, Mundy, Rachel Grace and is currently touring drummer for Wexford legends, Cry Before Dawn.

After studying sound engineering and music production in Pulse College, Dublin and a further year of internship in 2010, Brendan returned home to Enniscorthy to open The Orchard Recording Studio.

Early on, Orchard was lucky to partner with Wexford Arts Department on community based education workshops and recording bursaries. This really anchored Brendan’s place in the local area.

Orchard has always focused on building strong ties within Enniscorthy and the southeast to deliver high quality work for a very affordable price and flexibility with hours, giving local musicians a hub close to home and giving support in whatever capacity necessary.

Since it’s opening in 2010, Orchard’s popularity has grown and now attracts bands and artists from all over Ireland to come and record in Enniscorthy.

“One of things I’m most proud of is being able to stay local and be part of the local music scene, which is unique and vibrant! I most of all love running community projects, such as the current one with Creative Places Enniscorthy, “Sounds Of Our Town”. It never ceases to amaze me on the willingness for people to come together and create with an open mind. Thank you to the Creative Places team for your support! “
